Trapp Family Lodge

* Plan now to join us on the popular tour to the Trapp Family Lodge run by the family from The Sound of Music. In the Green Mountains, the Lodge will be our "home away from home" for the 3 nights of our trip. Mountain ridges, farmland, quiet meadows and over 2,000 acres of solitude and peace surround the main lodge, built in Austrian chalet style near Stowe, VT. We will be enjoying a full day at the Lodge which will include a horse-drawn wagon ride. Our day trip will be to see the Rock of Ages granite quarry & manufacturing plant along with a visit to the Hope Cemetery to see some of the finest examples of granite craftsmanship ever produced. Enjoying afternoon tea, viewing the film "The Real Maria", and an evening concert with Elisabeth von Trapp (Maria's granddaughter) are just some of the highlight's of our stay here at the Lodge. We will make a stop at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, which is a top New England producer of fresh apple cider, before heading for home.
